An utendørs LED-skjerm is a weatherproof LED video wall or billboard panel engineered for permanent fixed installation in open-air or semi-outdoor environments. Distinguished from indoor LED by high-brightness output (4,000–10,000+ nits), IP-rated enclosures (IP65/IP66), and operating temperature ranges covering extreme heat and cold. Common applications include roadside billboards, building facades, DOOH advertising networks, and transportation hubs.

Most outdoor enquiries arrive with exactly this information — no pixel pitch, no brightness spec. That is enough. Send us your screen dimensions and the nearest viewing distance and an engineer responds same day with a complete recommendation. The rule of thumb: minimum viewing distance in metres ÷ 1,000 = maximum pixel pitch in mm. We verify this for your specific site conditions.

IP65 on the front face only is not sufficient for outdoor fixed installations — water enters through the rear cabinet seams. Both Square 960 and Square 1000 carry IP65 on both front and rear faces. FO Series is IP66 front and rear. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C — covering Gulf region summer heat and Northern European winter. Common cathode option reduces heat generation by approximately 30%, extending component life in sustained high-temperature environments.

What we provide at no charge: cabinet layout drawings, mounting point load specifications, power distribution diagrams, and signal routing schematics — the documents your structural engineer needs to design the frame. Standard warranty is 2 years on Square 960 and Square 1000. We lock module SKU specifications across production runs — the module supplied with your order remains reorderable at the same part number. For ongoing DOOH network operators, we recommend maintaining a spare module inventory of 2–3% of total screen area to cover field replacements between reorder cycles.

Common cathode technology supplies separate voltages to the red, green, and blue sub-pixels rather than a shared higher voltage across all three. The result: approximately 30% lower power consumption and meaningfully lower operating temperature at the same brightness level. Standard LED drivers supply one shared voltage to red, green, and blue sub-pixels. Because each colour requires a different forward voltage, excess energy is lost as heat. Common cathode supplies each colour with its own matched voltage — eliminating that waste.
The practical result for outdoor installations: lower operating temperature at the cabinet level, reduced stress on driver ICs, and measurably longer component life. In markets like Saudi Arabia and the UAE — where ambient temperatures exceed 45°C for months at a time — this is a meaningful difference, not a marketing claim.
Common cathode is available as a factory option on Square 960 and Square 1000. Specify at order stage — it cannot be retrofitted.

“Almost every outdoor enquiry we receive says the same thing: here is the screen size, here is the viewing distance. That is genuinely enough to work with. Pixel pitch is a calculation — distance divided by a constant. Brightness follows from the installation environment. What actually takes engineering judgement is the mounting load documentation, the power circuit sizing, and the common cathode decision for hot climates. We provide all of that with every quote, at no charge — because the integrator on-site needs those documents to do their job, and most suppliers do not supply them."

Hva er en 3D LED-skjerm med nakent øye?
A 3D naked-eye LED billboard uses an L-shaped or curved screen configuration — typically two display faces at a 90° corner — combined with anamorphic content produced specifically for that geometry. When viewed from the correct angle, the forced perspective creates the illusion of objects extending beyond the screen surface, without requiring glasses or special equipment.
The display hardware itself is standard outdoor LED — the effect is entirely content-driven. Key requirements: høy lysstyrke (minimum 6,000–6,500 nits) for outdoor visibility, precise corner alignment between the two faces, and refresh rates high enough to avoid banding in video content. Square 1000 P3.91–P6.25 is the recommended platform for 3D naked-eye applications given its large-format cabinet and precise corner assembly options.
The anamorphic content must be produced by a specialist content studio — this is typically the larger cost and timeline item compared to the display hardware itself.
